On-Site Pulp & Paper Equipment Repair
No disassembly, no transport — we bring mobile machining equipment and experienced engineers directly to your machine, completing grinding, machining, coating, metrology and dynamic balancing within your shutdown window.
What Is On-Site Service?
On-site service (also known as in-situ or in-place repair) means maintenance, machining and surface engineering work is performed directly where the equipment is installed. When large components are worn, damaged or out of tolerance, they do not necessarily have to be removed, lifted, shipped to a workshop for repair and returned for reinstallation — we bring the required machining, grinding, coating, metrology and balancing equipment to your site.
This approach is especially advantageous for components that are bulky, heavy, difficult to disassemble, deeply integrated into the production line, costly to transport, or that must be back in operation within a short outage. In many cases, the true cost of maintenance is not the repair itself, but the production lost while the equipment is down.
- Reduce downtime — repair without stopping the line
- Eliminate unnecessary disassembly, lifting and transportation
- Restore worn and damaged components instead of replacing them
- Restore geometric accuracy, surface condition and alignment
- Extend equipment service life and improve operating reliability
- Coordinate multiple maintenance jobs within the same shutdown window
Service Portfolio
On-Site Service Capabilities
Individual services can be performed standalone or combined into a complete on-site restoration project within a single shutdown window.
On-Site Grinding
Precision in-situ grinding of dryer cylinders, Yankee dryers, calender rolls, press rolls, suction rolls, guide rolls and felt rolls to restore roundness, crown and surface finish.
On-Site Machining
Turning, milling, boring, drilling, slotting, honing and superfinishing; suitable for journals, bearing seats, flange sealing surfaces, frames and base plates.
Surface Coating & Surface Engineering
Functional coatings for wear, corrosion, anti-stick and friction enhancement — improving doctor blade performance, sheet release and cleanliness while extending grinding and replacement intervals.
Precision Metrology & Inspection
Measurement of geometry, roundness, cylindricity, run-out, crown and surface roughness — supporting repair planning and providing final acceptance verification.
Field Dynamic Balancing
Dynamic balancing of rolls, dryer cylinders, fans and other rotating components in their installed state, reducing vibration and extending bearing life.
Dryer Section Optimization
Optimization of cylinder surface condition and drying curves, doctor and pocket troubleshooting to improve drying efficiency and sheet quality.
Vacuum Roll / Suction Roll Rebuild
Roll face grinding and coating, drilling pattern and vacuum zone inspection to restore vacuum level and dewatering capacity.
DD Washer Maintenance
DD washer seal replacement and overhaul to restore washing efficiency, reduce dilution water usage and fiber losses.
Service Process
A Closed Loop from Assessment to Verification
Every on-site job is planned around the customer's equipment condition, operating parameters and outage schedule.
On-site inspection of component condition and damage causes; jointly define the scope of work, methods and expected results.
Schedule around production and maintenance plans; prepare mobile machining equipment, tooling and personnel.
Grinding, machining, coating and other work performed in place, with multiple operations running in parallel within the same window.
Re-measure geometry, surface and vibration parameters against agreed tolerances to ensure acceptance criteria are met.
Submit work and inspection reports, with follow-up performance tracking and preventive maintenance recommendations.
Coating Solution
Tecno-Hybrid Non-Stick / Release Coating
An advanced on-site hybrid coating combining excellent non-stick performance, wear resistance and heat transfer.
Tecno-Hybrid is an excellent on-site non-stick and release coating with the advantages of modern hybrid coatings. The low-viscosity hybrid coating penetrates quickly and efficiently into the micro-porosities of the surface, forming an even, dense and wear-resistant surface that keeps the cylinder clean and free from sticky contaminants over longer operation at higher temperatures.
Compared with standard on-site coatings and FEP/Teflon coatings, Tecno-Hybrid offers remarkably lower surface energy and peel force. Its superior release properties are maintained over extended running periods; lower friction and higher wear resistance provide good doctoring characteristics and extend carbon blade life. The coating also provides excellent heat transfer with a considerably higher temperature resistance than standard and FEP coatings — it keeps its phase and form at temperatures above 150 °C, which traditional and FEP coatings cannot achieve.
- Typical targets — dryers, vacuum cylinders
- Key benefits — excellent non-stick and release; excellent wear resistance; excellent heat conductivity; good corrosion resistance; excellent heat resistance
- Thickness — 80–120 µm
- Operating temperature — 200 °C
- Surface roughness — Ra 0.8
Yankee Dryer Service Tool Set
YANKEE SERVICE TOOL SET
A complete set of Yankee dryer on-site repair equipment, all packed into a single standard shipping container and kept permanently at the customer's site — no emergency equipment mobilization required, repair response on demand.
TG Grinder
Grinding Machine
Yankee dryer dedicated grinding equipment for in-place grinding of the cylinder surface, restoring surface accuracy, cylindricity and finish.
ARC SPRAY EQUIPMENT
Arc Spray Equipment
For hard-alloy coating spraying and surface repair on Yankee cylinders.
SAND BLASTER
Recycling Sand Blaster
Environmentally friendly closed-circuit recycling sand blaster: vacuum extraction prevents dust from escaping, dust and abrasive are separated automatically for reuse. Grit-blasting pre-treatment of the cylinder surface before coating ensures coating bond strength and spray quality.
DUST REMOVER
Dust Remover
Dust collection and control for grinding and blasting operations, meeting plant safety and environmental requirements.
HAND TOOLS
